Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives
In January 2007, Pizza Palace was contacted by the producers of a new show on the Food Network. Guy Fieri was to be the host of the new show having won “The Next Food Network Star”. The show, which had not aired yet to the public was a ground breaking format to feature and highlight unique, local restaurants that were accessible to the general public. We jumped at the opportunity to have such great exposure and to share our story on a national level. After two days of lights and cameras getting footage of Pizza Palace, we had to wait two months for the show to air. In late April of 2007, Season 1, Episode 2 aired to the public on national television. We could never have predicted the effect of the show.

The episode continues to air in re-runs and since that time we have been so fortunate to have customers come in every day telling us they saw us on the Food Network! We have met some wonderful people from every state in the U.S. and even a few from overseas!

It has been and continues to be one of the highlights of our almost 60 years in business. Guy Fieri is one of our biggest fans and we feel the same way about him!
